"Where do you belong?" 

For centuries, society taught us that belonging was an important issue for the human being. This concept links us sometimes to a geographical place, sometimes to a community, and sometimes to an identity... Nevertheless, aren’t human beings creatures beyond these restricted instincts? What exactly would we share if we wanted to tell society about our borders? 

Klank.ist Collective commissioned pieces for solo violin with or without electronics from composers all around the world about this “belonging” theme. In this unique project, all 12 composers wrote compositions for which also specific visuals were designed.
